The 5 Best Places To Shop For Treasures For Your Home
Whether you are a DIYer or just a shopper there are 5 main places that you will want to shop for items for your home. Moving into a new home or even redesigning a home that you already have can be overwhelming. I will share with you the 5 places that I shopped (ha ha continue to shop) when decorating my new home.
I frequent the local thrift stores looking for items including furniture. Most furniture can easily be repainted to fit the decor that you have in your home. This is also a great place to shop for lamps, organizational items, extra chairs and so much more.

Every trip to Home Goods is an endless opportunity for treasure hunting. I have found life size statues of horses, old fashioned baby carriages and an array of practical items as well. This my go to for shower curtains, name brand sheets and wall decor. Home goods is a go to shopping spot for farmhouse style decor! Look at all of these great white pieces!
Remember the post about shopping at Lowe’s? I truly do spend a great deal of time shopping at Lowe’s. Hardware stores are great places to shop for home improvement items, tools and building supplies. Hardware stores are also great for shopping for decorative items including wall hangings and lamps. Don’t forget to check out the garden section for patio decor and fire pit supplies!
Target… oh Target. A girl could get lost for hours in Target. From sheets, to new clothes, beauty products the list goes on and on. Now when it comes to shopping for the home Target has your back. Not only do they have practical items like toilet paper and organization items, but they have so many adorable items from incredible lines like the Hearth & Hand brand by Chip & Joanna Gaines. If farmhouse style isn’t your thing then there is the new Opalhouse line that is full of bright colors and great patterns. Oh you need outside items to decorate your new front porch or back patio? They have your back on that too!
For items big or small Amazon has almost anything you could need and you don’t even have to leave the house to get it. With a prime membership most items have 2 day shipping. When I first bought my house I spent the first week running from store to store and then I got tired so I sat back and I started ordering everything on Amazon. I quickly got to know my mail lady, the Fed Ex guy and the UPS guy. They all seem lovely and the stop by several times a week.
Amazon has all of the cleaning products that I could need including the Vastar 3 Pack 19.6 Inch Drain Snake Hair Drain Clog Remover Cleaning Tool that you have heard me rave about
Amazon is great for practical items as well
Amazon has great storage solutions like this Whitmor Double Closet Rod to instantly give an extra row to hang items in the closet.
This Home- It Mop and Broom Holder is another great find on Amazon to keep all of those cleaning tools in one area
Would a home even be a home without an instant pot?
Amazon is not only great for staples for you home but for fun stuff too… like this hot tub that I had to have
How mad do you think the delivery person was who had to deliver this super heavy hot tub?
